syntax error

win98
During boot up on dos screen, just befor the c:/ prompt and windows starts, I see "SYNTAX ERROR". What, if anything is wrong? System does boot and loads windows fine.

Something in the autoexec.bat and/or config.sys isn't typed correctly.
You could do a "step by step" startup and see what line is doing it, and then correct or remove it.
