need help resizing DOS memory

Im running XP and im wanting to run Elite II frontier but it can only be run in DOS.

I tried
Start Run, CMD and selscted the files etc but i get this error messege

Un able to run Frontier - not enough free base memory aprrox 594,000 bytes to run

Try remving all unnescary device drivers and loading DOS and all necesary device drivers into high memory

I thought about this and tried starting the comp with a Win 98 boot disk and copied the files frontier files to another floppy after the Win 98 disk had finished doing its thing i loaded hthe second floppy with Frontier on it choose the file and hit enter and got the exact same messege again.

So please please please tell me how i can change stuff or whatever so that i can run this game cos it was like my most favourite game eeeevvvvvveeeeerrrrrrrr.

Thnx a lot i hope u can help

Autoexec.bat and config.sys load DOS stuff.
You need to change any "LOAD" statements to read "LOADHIGH" and RUN statements to RUNHIGH, you get the idea...anything loading, just put HIGH in the statement usually works.
If you see "DEVICE=", change it to DEVICEHIGH=...
