I completed my first build, (Asus P4S8X, Pentium 2.4/533, 512 Corsair pc 2700, Abit Siluro MX 440 8X, Lite On DVD/ROM 16X, Lite On CD/RW 52X, Western Digital 80G SE) and did a fresh install of Windows XP. I can't get pics on many web sites that I used to on my old pc with Windows ME. Why?

Is it just a certain type of image that won't show such as .gif or .jpg? Or is it all types of images? You may want to check your internet options to make sure that your settings are correct in the multimedia section under the 'Advanced' tab.

I checked, and explorer is set properly as far as I can tell. It's set to display all graphics. Anything else?

Check to make sure that your file associations are set correctly. Try associating .gif or .jpg with Internet Explorer. Have you installed SP1? IE 6 SP1 can sometimes act really funny when it comes to .gif images.

I tried to download XP service pack 1, but won't let me. I have OEM version, I don't know if that makes a diff. I know that they don't give free phone support for OEM. I tried. Can someone figure this out?
