Boom Win2000 Incompatible with HP OfficeJet

I have just had Win2000 installed on my computer. Cannot load Hewlett Packard OfficeJet 720 printer, fax machine.. When I do get it loaded I can no longer access my Earthlink DSL. Have changed my BIOS to ECP. Then could not access my DSL. Had to change it back to SPP. Has anyone heard of this problem before? Or does anyone have any idea where to look for a solution. Have already talked with HP. Thanx if anyone knows.

THanks a million for such a quick reply. But I did buy a HP install disk for Win2000. That is what I'm trying to install. Thanx again.

I think their is a 3rd setting of EPP in BIOS. However if it was already set in BIOS before the upgrade, I would be looking at the driver too or a possible IRQ conflict. The loss of the DSL intrigues me.

That Officejet won't work if if the port is not set to ECP. HP has a good tutorial on how to install the drivers and software for the Officejets on their site.

I have been able to set them up under 2000 and XP successfully using their instructions. The only thing I don't like is that the HP sotware now takes a while to load every time you start the software.
