The Horizontal Bar

During boot-up, is it normal in WinXP Pro to see a horizontal bar at the bottom of the screen after the POST? That's before the WinXP logo gets displayed.

I ask this because, in other set-ups, it doesn't show such horizontal bar. And these set-ups are also Athlon XP based. Though, these set-ups are on ASUS Socket A boards, the one I'm currently workin' on right now which shows the said horizontal bar, is on an Epox 8KHAL+.

Is there a way to eliminate this during boot-up? Has it somethin' to do with some settings in the mainboard BIOS or some settings in the videocard? Though the new system is running without problems so far, I would just prefer to have it [the bar] eliminated.

Thank you for your comments or suggestions...

It is very easy to get rid of it. boot into safe mode and find the system files. locate the bootui file (near the loginui file) and find the image of the small "bar", remove it from the file or better yet, replace it with a BLACK "bar" and you won't see it (that is if you have the default screen- BORING!).

If the system is running slow for some reason, you'll see the bar. If it's running at speed, then you won't.
I know it shows up on my Celeron 600 system, but not my PIII 600, nor any of my other, faster systems.
