Exclamation Shutdown Problems - sometimes.

Ok this is a new one to me. It's been happening for maybe 2 weeks, sporadically. I use WinXP.

* I shutdown via Start-->Shutdown

* Half the time my computer shuts down properly, with the monitor off and the fans stopped.

* Half the time my computer shows the shutting down screen, turns off the hard drive BUT my fans stay on and my monitor also stays on! The monitor keeps the image of the "Windows is Shutting Down." But like I said, the hard drive definitely turns off because I can hear it do so. My case is open so it's very easy to tell these things.

Thanks friends!

That is like the old Win98 bug, right? I remember having that problem with windows 98. I later just started turning it off manually when the HDD shuts off.
