copying HD
Hello
what is the best way to copy an entire HD onto a new one? My current HD is running under XP and i would like the new HD to be identical and be able to boot from it right away, as i would remove the older one after copy. thanks. |

Drive Image from PowerQuest is another program that can copy the contents of one drive to another.

If you get another hard drive from the same manufacturer, they may have a cloning utility that comes w/ it. Maxtor's "MaxBlast" comes to mind as an example.
I use Ghost for all other situations. Last edited by Dave22; 03-29-2003 at 06:55 AM. |

You can use the drive manufacturer's cloning utility from *either* manufacturer if you buy a different brand.
