I was running ie and ares (similar to grokster/kazaa but w/o the spyware) and suddenly the blue screen of death came up saying somthing about beggining dump of physical memory
Why would it do this? i have benn using win2k for over a year on this computer with no problems? TIA for any help Sean My System: P4 1.5ghz 512 mb ddr RAM Geforce 4 mx |

You need to write down the first couple of lines of the BSOD - the exception, the stop error code, and the affected module - in order to research possible reasons.

The bsod just says 0x000000(not sure of the number of zeroes)1 then (0x0000000000, 0x000000000 3 or 4 times)
then under that it says "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Beginning dump of physical memory" |

If it's just happening when you run ares, then I would suspect a bug in their software which conflicts with your system.
I would contact them and see if they are able to shed any light on it. |

No it is not just with ares and all i have been doing laely is surfing,
I guess it is time to check all my drivers (uhhgg been putting that off) this is really odd because i used to game heavily on this pc and leave it on for weeks at a time with no trouble and now, like a month and a half after i do a clean install i start getting this crap Uhhgg only in windows THanks for the help guys, i appreciate these and any other sugestions you may offer |

Faulty/failing Ram or Hardware can also throw up this Stop Error.
