Cool 3 minute + boot

I have really messed up my system with XP. I replaced the video card and I believe that is the root of my problems although not postive. My ATI 7000 with 32M quit. I used a old SIS6326 till my new 7000 with 64M arrived. I believe I totally messed drivers and or installation up as it takes 3 to 5 minutes to boot up. I'm not totally postive as this has developed couple of weeks after installation but I have been doing things to get TV tuner to work as I'm experiencing the hard loop when using it and surfing at same time.

In Msconfig under General I'm using selective statup with a check mark next to:

Process sys.ini
Process win.ini
Load system services
Load startup items has green box and
Use original Boot.ini has a radio button

Startup has;

Navapw32
Evntsvc
Atiptaxx
InCD
Mixer (sound card)
RunDLL32
Launchpad

starting. Any ideas before I start over with a fresh install.
Thanks
Chas

Send a message via AIM to Surge1243
You could try a repair installation. Not sure if that will solve the problem but it helped me when I was having startup problems.

Cool

Thanks Surge, but unfortunately that did not help. Any more ideas anyone?

uninstall all the drivers of the old card. Then install the drivers for the new card.

Cool

Thanks Sleppy. I thought I had but maybe I didn't do it right. I will poke around ATI site and see if I can find something.
