cpu temperature monitor?

are there any free programs that i can download that lets me monitor the temperature of my processor? my games just suddenly stop and someone told me my processor could be overheating. thanks.

I use motherboard monitor - http://coolmon.arsware.org/ and its great for doing much more than just temp monitoring.
Also check the CD that came with your mobo, it might have a monitoring utility as well.
