My regular mail work fine accept whey I try to send a e-mail from a web site or e-mail that was sent to me. The error shows "cannot send mail no mail program is set up to send mail using internet shortcuts.

Is OE set as your default mail program?

Open IE and check Tools/internet options/programs tab and see if Outlook Express is in the box for e-mail. Don't know if this will help, but it can't hurt.

There should be an option to make OE your default mail, look in OE/Tools/Options/General tab. HTH

Did you try setting outlook express as default to see if it would put it in there?

Run the repair option for Internet Explorer in Control panel/Add/Remove programs/double click Internet Explorer and select the repair option. Outlook Express and IE are so integrated with one another this should fix it.

Hate you had to reinstall, but at least you got it working.

I am almost certain you wouldn't have had to reinstall to solve that problem. But now you have and, depending on the procedure you used, may have lost data as well.
If you are going to post questions on these boards would it not make sense to wait a reasonable amount of time for possible answers to be posted before you reinstall. And no, i don't consider 1h 20m a reasonable amount of time. |
