Sharing Internet access on win 2k
Hi, I have a NT servre 4.0 with Proxy server to get my network conected to Internet, but I need to add another PC and programs, so I've got a new server with win 2000 server, but I don´t know how to share the Internet conection.
Current server: * Windows NT 4.0 Server & SP6 * MS Proxy server 2.0 * Cable modem (Conected to a RJ-45 port on network switch) Future server: * Windows 2000 Server & SP3 * Cable modem (Conected to an USB port on server) I've just configured Router & Remote Access services, Internet Authentication services, but don't know what's next for the server and for all the workstations attached to it. Thanks for your help. |

I'd suggest you don't use the USB. Better to get a new NIC than to use the USB.
There's a store in Paseo de los Insurgentes that sells routers at good prices, I advise you get one.

Well, I think I've found the solution for my problem.
Read this: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.p...threadid=61156 Krusader, maybe tomorrow I'll go to your store and we both try sharing internet access using windows XP and without a server. Have a nice day. |
