Litle guide to share internet on win 2k server
I came to PC-Mech to look for some info about sharing internet access with windows 2000 server and I didn't find it; so I went to M$ site and this is the steps:
1. Setup RRAS (Routing & Remote Access Services) 2. Setup NAT (Network Address Translation) When you setup this a new interface is created to and it is configured to the network card and it selects the "Private interface connected to private network" option. Next you have to right click on NAT and select "New Interface", when you prompted select the adapter wich you use to connect to internet. In the properties dialog box for this interface select "Public interface connected to the internet" option; mark the "Translate TCP/UDP" option and click OK. 3. Finally, for al your workstations set the default gateway to the server IP address. That's all, I will try today at 2.00pm (GMT -6) and get back later to post the results. |
