Use the XP App Compatibility Toolkit????

Hi all

I'm trying to get a windows 95 game to play on windows xp. Already tried compatibility mode, etc.

I downloaded the 'application compatibility toolkit' from the microsoft site -- it even has a 'shim' specifically for the game I am trying to play (Sanitarium). However, I have no idea how to use the compatiblity toolkit or the shim. I've looked through the MS knowledge base and it all seems very over my head.

The fact that the game is listed in the toolkit as an available 'fix' or 'shim' makes me think I am very close to a solution.

Any ideas?

THANKS

right click on your game's .exe,properties->compatibility->select win95,and select disable visual themes.

16bit programs wont work in winxp.
