What cd are you trying to boot from? Did you have kazaa lite or just regular kazaa? Kazaa lite has no spyware/adware.

How many optical drives do you have...do you have a DVD or CD-RW as well as a CD-ROM drive? If so, try putting the OS CD in the other optical drive (whatever is the secondary master).

What kind of XP CD you have (Full Version or Upgrade)? If your CD ROM Drive can read while you are in Windows, so maybe your XP CD is not a bootable CD?

Check out Morriswindgate's post: link , maybe using a bootdisk will help you get it done.

Check in the BIOS that you have set the boot sequence to CD-Rom first.

When the PC is booting, watch for a message that says "Press any key to boot from CD."

Have U made any boot disk for Windows XP? If not, you may try the following path to make one. Sorry, U will need 6 floppy disk for it. You can boot up yr system from floppy disk which may be easier to do.
