Network Icon Missing
There is no Network Icon on Control Panel. I can work around it and get to the Network Dialog Box via the Help menu, but I would like to know how to get the Network Icon back. Any specifices or pointing me in the right direction will be appreciated.

Try reinstalling "Client for Microsoft Networks."

Just to prove I am a total dunce, how does one go about 're-installing' Client for Microsoft Networks? Everything was already 'installed' when I bought the machine.

Well, yah see, that's kinda the nub of this problem. There is no Network Icon on Control Panel to click. That's what I am trying to restore. However, I do have a work around that gets me to the Network Dialog Box, so will try that and see what happens.
Thanks. |

Do you have the Network Neighborhood or Network Places icon on the desktop? If so, check and see if Client for Microsoft Networks is in the window, if so remove it, then click add/select client/click add/select Microsoft/select Client for Microsoft Networks/click OK. Have your Operating System cd handy.
