!- Basic Programs not opening -!

explorer programs like My Computer,control panel arent opening
ie doesnt open (the process is shown in task manager),but opera does. outlook doesnt open..some exe's dont open.

i cant even find scandisk!

what the hell?

xp pro

played some games,nmapped some people(just kidding :P),install an old 56kmodem .I couldnt open ie before i install the modem,but after that I cant open my computer. i also did a loooooooot of stuff i cant remember.

Scan for viruses?

Start simple with a basic clean up, edit your start up list in msconfig to the barest minimum.

Delete your *.tmp and ~*.* files. Delete temporary internet files. delete cookies.

Uninstall any programs you don`t need.

Install and run spyware and virus scans.

thanks all for your inputs

today,I used for server hours..the same.when i booted in safe mode,everything worked.. but i wanted to played my games.
I did some work.After about 5 hours of work,(ya right,more like 5 minutes),I booted it up,and reluntly opened Outlook express..it opened! and I did Receive All..it kinda frozze but came back to life.then i opned up my computer...it worked!! well,i suppose it was a magic :P

now,its time to rummmmmmmmble.
