Office 97 Pro work on Win XP?

Will Office 97 Pro work on WinXP?
I'm sure it does, but a friend wants to know and wants to see the tech guru's confirm it.

Thanks in advance!

Personally I have opted for OfficeXP and I love it. Office 97 Pro disk w/liscence and key for sale! Just kidding. I will keep Office 97 for my next build. Got a guy who insists he wants a Win95 machine. Go figure. Some folks learn to like something and won't let go.

Thanks all!

My friend thinks they have to shell out the $400+ for Office XP. Worse, they didn't believe me
