Where in XP Pro...?
...is Scandisk?
It's not under Accesories > System tools. Also, can I use it to check a FAT16 HD? TIA

There's no Scandisk in NT. You can run chkdsk from a command prompt though I think it works the same way scandisk does.

It's called error checking under XP and I use it by right clicking My Computer, selecting drive I want to check, click properties and it is under the tool tab.
I don't know about FAT16. Chas

Thanks Confused, I had the exact same question that Nuclear Krusader had, where did scandisk go? I have being using chkdsk from the command prompt, with the f option enabled (needed for NTFS system). I will have to try right clicking on the harddrive icon as soon as I get home.
