Question XP Log on screen

.After downloading NET Framework 1.1 the other night my log on screen pops up. It comes up when I boot up and every time I click off the screen saver. All I have to do is click on my user name and the desk top comes up. Why is it doing this? Thank you.

It's doing it also in one of my systems. I have more than one user on that system though.

Do you also have more than one user?

See if you can uncheck the show logon screen in your display settings under screen saver.

Can you go to ControlPanel>UserAccounts and bring up that window that on mine says "Pick A Task" and one choice is to change the way users log on or off.. There may be where you can change it...
The Other thing I found was to right click on my desktop bring up the display properties settings, go to the screen saver tab and there is the check box to password protect on resume screen saver...

I have it now. You have to delete the user from the user screen that NET 1.1 put on there. Then reboot.
