Question res change on program execution

I would like a way to automatically change the resolution from 1280x1024 to 1600x1200 when I open my quake 3 map building program and change it back upon closeing the program. I remember running across something that would do this a LONG time ago but I don't remember what it was.

Thanks

QRES is exactly what I'm looking for, but it doesn't seem to want to change to 1600x1200. I select it and it changes to 1600x900.
Any ideas?

Does your monitor and video card support 1600x1200?

Can you change to 1600x1200 without using QRES and just using Display Properties?

Have you loaded the correct "driver" (.inf file) for your monitor?

yes, I used the display properties to change to 1600x1200 before I got qres. Was very inconvenient.

No. I was just checking you have the specific driver for your monitor installed in Windows.

I haven't used QRES and don't know why it isn't accepting the higher resolution.

Perhaps it's a limitation in the program.

Sorry it wasn't more help.
