install directx9 on pc w/o internet

i want to isntall directx 9 on my pc to do a 3dmark03 test. The pc itself doesnt have internet. I just tried at microsoft, but i can only find a file called dxwebsetup, and this does the installation directly from internet.

I need to get the whole setup file to put on disc and than install in my own pc.
or will i have to wait for a game that ships with dx9?

Can anyone gimme some help or a link here?

You ended up at the end-user runtime section. You will have to look for the file under Redistributable for Software Developers. See if this link works first: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Thanks for the link guys. I am downloading it right now. It has become quite a large file. Luckily my dad has broadband and a writer.

Now to see how my new pc runs on 3dmark. Is there a place to compare scores with similar builds or so?

There is a 3D Mark 03 thread started here at PC Mech in the "Gaming and Benchmarks" section.

You could buy Splinter Cell for PC, I think that has DX9 on it.
