win2k program permissions
Hiya,
ok a real newbie here, HELP, i have installed win2k pro, have created user names for the family, i installed all the usual programs nero office etc under the administrator account, but i dont understand how to give the other user names the right to use them, eg nero in particualr when run form another name says that name doesnt have burn rights and that i the administartor should give them that right, .... how do i grant rights for different programs for different users, ? i know i could just give them all top rights like power users or back up operators. .. but that defeats the purpose of setting up individual names.. Thanks in advance Syb

Hi,
For Nero at least, you need to download a free plugin called Nero BurnRights from Nero's site (www.nero.com) that will set up a group called Nero on your system. You can then specify the users that have the right to burn CD's using Nero from the Control Panel. NPP |
