Question Playing Games With Windows Server 2k/03???

Can you play games like Quake3, Unreal2, C&C Generals, MOHAA and other games with a Windows Server 2000 or 2003 box?

From what I have heard, yes. The server os types allocate a "more equal" timeslice to threads in the background, such as os calls, as opposed to threads in the foreground, such as user functions: mouse movement, keystrokes and so on. This means that games may be slightly laggy to input from you, but I am not too certain you will notice. I have to wonder why one would game on a server os anyway.
Do a search on threads or go to 2cpu.com and do some poking about in all things servery and thready, paying particular attention to posts by jeh....

You can set the foreground threads the priority.

But regardless, be sure to have *at least* 512MB of RAM to play the heavy games on that OS.

I have been playing Fatal Fury 3 in it fine with 256MB, but if I open another window or app, the game becomes a real dog.
