microsoft update site.
I tried to install Media player 9 two days ago and was advised during the installation that I needed an update to windows ME before doing the installation so I went to Microsoft site and clicked on updates from there but the website just wont download for some reason. Is this normal with Microsoft or do I have a problem. I can go to othe sites just fine but when I try to get to the Microsoft update page, it wont open just a blank screen.
The update I need is Q290700 can I get this update from anywhere else.?

Might be they were doing some maintenance or something, I used it this morning without a problem.

I've had problems getting "on" to Microsoft before, just as you described. Redo is probably right...just try again later...(there are a lot of folks out there banging away at their site, there are a LOT of problems to be worked out....yes??)

some one (other than m$) should index shortcuts like this...sometimes once you are able to get connected to the m$ site, it's difficult to find what you need... |
