Hi,Rather than print out my emails I decided to select Print to File an option displayed in the printer dialogue box. I had no problem saving the documents as *.prn files. The problem is how can I read these files. When I try to open them it requests to select a program to open the file with. Which program can I use to view *.prn files or to print out these files. Any help appreciated Regards Mal Dinsdale |

MA-
I would try using your mail program first, or wordpad. I usually save email as .txt files (text files). They are smaller and can be printed in any word editting program, unless of course they are originally html....hope this helps. |

In a DOS prompt, type Filename.prn > PRN to have the system give you a printout on your default printer, or Filename.prn > LPT1-2 to print to a printer attached to LPT1 or LPT2 as the case may be.

Hi,
I've tried wordpad and I'm afraid that doesn't work but I will in future save my emails in a different format. I will give the print command from DOS and will let you know what happens. Thanks to both Dan & Pillainp for your input it is appreciated Regards Mal Dinsdale |

Word of advice, save your email in the text format. Uses very little space and is very highly compressable.

Hi,
thanks to eveyone for their input. I have managed to locate a program that will print out *.prn files. The program is called "Imprint" 30 day free trial and it works fine. I will save my emails in text format in future. Thanks to everyone Regards Mal Dinsdale |
