unable to locate a cdrom drive

Hey guys-

I am installing Windows NT on some donated computers that formerly had 95 on them. However during setup I am receiving the message of
Setup was unable to locate a CD-ROM Drive .......
There is a CD rom drive there and it is properly connected - at least as far as I can tell. Where do I go from here.

Please help

Thanks

All bios don't recognize cd drives. The best thing to try is to boot from a bootable floppy disk that loads the cd drivers. This will tell you if you have it cabled right at least. Then you can try to read a disc to see if the drive itself is working. Then go from there.
