i have just installed xp pro from me on a packard bell cub. my board is gigabyte i180,533 mhz intel celeron, bus clock 66 with 320 mb memory which i was told was enough the insallation went ok till it came to the screen with the win xp logo and the blue leds going across its at this point that the system freezes the led stop midway after going across once and then nothing happens. the cd is from microsoft themselves as it is an evaluation disc. i have also tried another full version of xp but it still freezes in the same place. any help would be apreciated. thanks in advance.glenn

XP is fussier about ram than ME to begin with - and it's always best to do a clean install, not an upgrade. Your issue could be either of these.
