Fatal Exception Error!
when i installed (clean install/new set-up) win98 on my friend's pc, i received a message: "A Fatal Exception 0E Has Occurred at 0028:FF0448E7". i tried searching on the net about this problem but i cant find concrete answers to solve the problem. please help...

Many things can cause these errors, including bad RAM (you can try a different stick as a quick fix try). For more extensive troubleshooting, here's a link with a great deal of OE 0028:xxx error information: http://www.aumha.org/kbefe.php
Best of luck . . . Gary [if it's not the memory sticks, another quick strategy might be to try the install without the network and audio cards in the box, see if the errors disappear. Then install the audio card & check for errors. Then the network card. ] |
