I do not have IE6 in front of me now but did you check Internet Options and confirmed it enabled?

What is your privacy setting? Go to TOOLS > Internet Options > Privacy tab.

Setting it through the advanced works best by
Overriding automatic cookie handling; Accepting all first party cookies, Blocking all third party cookies and Always allowing session cookies. If you have problems try to keep the privacy settings at its lowest and see if it works.
