no thumbnails?
alright I'm using win2k for some reason I can no longer see thumbnails of pics when i set folder view to thumbnail. its just a square with IE icon in it. any idea?

Try repairing IE, reinstalling it, or upgrading it.

I think you have the file associations messed up, right click on one of the pics and select "open with" and select the program you want it to open with other than IE.

A repair, reinstallation or upgrade will fix the problem by automatically changing back file associations. The "Open with..." only works when the file is not associated with anything.

Instead of repairing IE you can simply associate the file type with the appropriate program in control panel > Folder Options > File types and simply change what program opens the file extension.

But that only changes the program that the file is opened with. It sounds like eshaft716 is having a problem with the thumbnails appearing in the left-hand panel of an open window.
