Anyone know what these mean?

Hey,

My computer is freezing and crashing ALOT lately, today, one of those blue screens came up and it said that a fatal exception had occured at 0167:BFF9DFFF

After that, A black screen with a white window came up and said this

Explorer caused a stack fault in a module KERNEL23.DLL at 0167:bff7429f

It's being really troublesome in the past week, between starting up and having a delay on the internet, it takes two minutees after I've finished typing for the text to appear(ifm I was posting a message on here say).

I'm running Windows 98, please help!

Have you scanned for viruses with updated definitions yet?

Do a scan for spyware and trojans too.

Clean out your Windows Temp folders.

What kind of programs do you have running in background? Try disabling the ones you don't really need.

Did you install anything new prior to the problems occuring?

Next time the error messages pop up, write them down and then post the whole message here.

Do you have more than 1 stick of RAM installed in your system? Try running the system with only 1 stick installed. If the problem persists, remove the stick and install the other and try the system again.

Hey,
Scanned for viruses, had none, scanned and removed spy ware, had a trojan but removed that. When this happens I'm only running one program, I never really have other programs running in the back round.

I installed NAV Pro but that was after the problems started, but they've gotten worse since.

Tara !

Update video card drivers. This is a common error with GeForce especially.
Check RAM with docmem from www.simmtester.com
What program causes it most?

I'll try that, Internet Explorer causes it the most, but when I start up my computer, it dreezes at the desktop and i have to restart it around two times to get it working properly.

This might work:
Go to Start > Run > and type in: SFC
Choose to extract one file.
Extract kernel32.dll from the Windows CD.
Restart.
