new OS from microsoft, sort of
Has anyone heard of 'Microsoft Media Center addition'
It's really winXP but it only comes with certain hardware, I think maybe alienware. If anyone has seen it, or better yet have it, I would much like to hear thoughts about it. Thanks. |

I have it. Want it? (just kidding).
It's XP with lots of bells and whistles. Works well if your PC is integrated with an entertainment centre and has IR remote ability. |

I've read a little about it, I know it works with (or better with) media player 9, which not saying anything good. Really my only interest is that I'm going to need to give demonstrations about it. It really seems like to me that it's nothing more then some software that's installed on winXP, that and hardware wise I'm sure it has about the biggest hard drive that you can get right now. However, one thing I thought was that Microsoft would normally want to charge close to $1000 for software like that, I guess that having to spend a little more it's nice to get a good computer with it. reboot, anything you could tell me about it that would make it look good (good enough for someone to buy) to others? I havent actually received the unit yet, but will be giving a demonstration this weekend, and I'm guessing that I will not get it till that day, which sucks cause after giving a demo or two (or more) I will not really care to lug it around just to check it out. Should just give me one as a perk for doing this. lol
LMFAO like that would ever happen. The only way that would ever happen would be if I didnt get a paycheck for doing this, I'm a nice guy and all, but that's just not going to happen. |

Anyone want a keychain? I got tons of these things left from doing demo's, they even light up when you push the button. LOL I'm a Microsoft Rep, but all I do is hand out keychains to kids, lol not really, but feels like sometimes.
