XP Desktop Icons Question
On "Windows XP Pro." the desktop icons on one PC show the text with the desktop behind it. On another PC which also has XP Pro. shows the icons on the desktop, it's text is in front of a retanguler background. Does anyone know where the setting is to get the text on the icons not bordered?

Wow thats weird. I thought the default now was to have transparent icons in XP. I did not think you could go back to the old ways of 9X and 2000.

TRy this
http://www.windows-help.net/WindowsXP/troub-04.html Yep that did it. I toggled it back and forth and now it screwed up my taskbar. It reverted back to the Window XP theme but all my settings are for Classic mode. I can't figure out how to get my taskbar back to the Classic look. My start menu is set to classic and it does show up classic but the damn taskbar is now the XP theme. This pisses me off. Last edited by LwdSquashman; 05-07-2003 at 10:00 AM. |
