Question error msg, no modem

I'm not sure just where to send this, but seems it should be here. I am running Win98SE. suddenly I am getting an error message when starting up, saying there is a missing DLL file; ID's as "S32NAVO.DLL" it just started up, and the next day, I could not go on line, and the response is that the modem is not detected, either in use, turned off or not installed properly. It has been working right along for a long time. Under device manager, it says that the modem is installed, and working properly, the port, com1, is open, etc, and I tried a reinstall.. So is the DLL file related?? and/or has the modem just gone, It is Creative Labs 56k, and has been very good. The only other thing is that I recently did a install and uninstall of Norton Utilities...?? Anybody got any ideas??? rvking

Ideas? Yes, get a really big gun, and shoot Symantec.
It's Norton Utilities problem, and you have a couple of options.
Completely remove the modem and dial-up-networking from the computer and reinstall it, or reinstall NU, or phone Symantec and rant until they come up with a better fix.
