I can't believe it!!!!! Just not possible!

Just installed an OEM verison of XP i just received, the first thing I did after installing was check for updates. Guess what? NOt a one!!!

Doesn't need one single update for anything! This is just to hard for me to believe. This tells me that this install has every available update MS has ever put for XP Pro....puh-leeeeese!

I installed a OEM version of XP with SP1 in January that still needed security updates. I also added some recommended updates.

There have been a lot of updates released since SP1.

Chas,

I find this hard to believe also, even with SP1 installed, there are other patches that you need to install. Try running Windows update again and see what you get. At the very least you'll need to install the patch that enables startup videos to play when you start a video game. By default, it's disabled in SP1 and you'll need the patch to view the videos.

Usually after installing SP1, there is about 30Mb of Critical Updates to download.

Reread my post. I very clearly stated I installed XP, SP1 and still needed to install updates. I was replying to Baileys statement.
