Question XP unstable & system restore

I just reinstalled Mandrake, and it seems to have affected XP. XP and Mandrake are loaded onto HDD1, while 98SE and 2000 are on HDD1. (see sig for specs)

I can't remain up and running with XP in normal mode long enough to do anything before I get a BSOD.

Now, with my system resore, I have drives C, D, E, F & G. System restore is "turned off" on C, D, E & G. F is being "monitored" (this is XP's partition).

My big question is, can I run system restore without it affecting my other partitions?

yes, restore will only affect the one partation that it is on, but any referance to the other partations from the xp drive may need to be reinstalled, depending on the restore point

I'm okay with the references. I pretty much keep the O/S's seperate.
