Windows XP Home no multi users

I'm the only user on my computer. So I wound like to start up and goes right into XP desk top. What adjustments I have to do. Thanks

Go to Control Panel, User accounts.
Change the way users log on and off.
Put a tick in "show welcome screen".
Take the tick OUT of "fast user switching".

Reboot
I tried what you say and my account name still comes up on the welcome page. I must hit my account name to log into windows. Instand of it booting directly into windows. This is the second time this has happen to me. The last time the boot up went directly into windows this lasted about six months then all of a sudden, the boot up went to the login account. The last time I corrected it by reinstalling Windows XP. This time I'm looking for the correct adjustment. I must be doing something wrong. Thanks your time and help.
