Internet connection problem
Hi
I have a Sony computer running Windows 95 I just did System Recovery with original CD-s The problem I have is: AOL is not working because of network configuraton has a problem and MSN is not working for the same reason Help files suggest to remove network adapter from Windows and then again to reinstall I did it and still I have yhe same problem |

Are you on dial-up?? If so did you remove the dial-up adapter and add it back, I do remember that win 95 neeeds a patch for dial up, I believe it was winsock2, but if it worked before something has to be different now. And of course if you can't get online you can't download the patch.. I don't suppose there is also an actual win95 disk is there..

There is a newer version of DUN for 95. I think it is version 1.3 or something. But from what I remember AOL uses its own dial up network client so that would not matter.
Can you reinstall AOL. |

I think Lwd is correct, in that AOL doesn't need it and it is that newer version of DUN, but I would try reinstall of AOL. The patches for win95 should be downloadable from:
support.microsoft.com Not sure if they have quite archived win95 yet or not but I think they are close.. |
