Boom Synchronization and Network Browsing

Hi there.

I have a user who is running WXP on a Toshiba Satalite Pro 6050, he is
networked to a Win2000 Server through a corporate network and has a folder
sat on this Server with his general data.

The problem is that when he wishes to use that data whilst connected to the
netowork, XP keeps dropping him off the network.
His e-mail works, he can Ping and even Net Send, and reveive Net Sends back.
I can Ping him from the server.
But if you try and browse either graphically through Explorer or via a CMD
prompt, you can not see the network.

I thought it may be permissions, but after giving him administrator rights,
he still drops off.
Service Pack 1a has been installed from first set up of the machine in XP,
so I can not even say if that would be a problem.

The inbuilt firewall is disabled, and the user has no other installed.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.
