Unhappy Start Menu screw ups

I have been sifting through instructions that tell you how to change the name on the start menu. And I have made several attepts to customize it but i seem to be missing something. Is there a program that will do this for me so i dont have to sift through my registry. Which i have done to the count about 13 times now and im tired! I JUST WANT THE PROGRAM!
