Windows 2000

Could someone help me on these too please?

I have installed Windows 2000 onto a systems hard disk with the FAT32 filing system on the parttion C; partiton of a drive. But since installing this I want to make the drive less accessible to Windows 98 users on the same network. How would i Identify the file system neede and how would i convert this from FAT32.Would there be any advantages of running the new file system??

When I was booting with Windows 2000for the first time after installation, the system hangs. It gave me a blue screen, and and it fails to fully load Windows 2000. What steps would I take to assist me with troubleshooting and the utilities available to help me? Would the ERD not help me in this case ?

1- Use the convert command,
convert x: /fs: ntfs
"X being your drive letter"
ntfs has better security, and more efficient use of hard drive space, I believe it uses a 4KB cluster.

2- The ERD would help, If you made one. Recovery console will work, also boot from the CD, will help repair W2K
