I can not seem to be able to connect my daughters computer to my c drive. I can see her c drive but not reverse. I am using Cable modem in to a DI-704 router then to hers and mine. Mine being the host. File and print sharing is enabled on all nic's.

I am sot sure what you are suggesting. Could it be I can not see my computer from hers due to the router?

When you try to access your C drive from Win98 does a logon screen popup asking for a user name and password? If so and you cannot logon to your C drive then you will have to set up a user for the Win98 machine, from the control panel
On the W2K machine are you sharing the drive, when you open My Computer is there a cupped hand under the drive icon. If not then you need to right click on the drive and go to sharing, and set the drive up to be shared across your network. |

Hey even a blind squirelll finds an acorn now and then! Somehow in searhing settings and tinkering I got her computer to see my c: drive so we are connected. It was not a router issue. Thanks.

Don't it drive you nuts to "fix" something and not know how you did it?
