Smile Newbie OS installation

I want to upgrade from Win 98SE to Win XP. I've got an OEM full version of Win XP. I want to reformat my harddrive and do a clean install of Win XP. I have a partial idea of how to go about this, but I'm not totaly sure of what I'm doing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

hi
first of all backup anything that you have on your computer now that you want to keep.
then all you do is put the windows xp cd in the drive and restart your computer. you want to go into your bios and set your cd drive to your first boot device. then let it boot from the cd and follow the instructions.

Yes that sounds like the way to go, since you are going to install fresh go with NTFS for the file system. When you boot from the xp cd it will allow you to redo your harddrive and the most recommended for w2k/xp it the ntfs.

Thanks all. I'm off from work in two days, so I'll be doing the upgrade then. I'll post again if I have any problems.
