XP Pro and Nero

Hi all,

I am thinking of going over from Win2K pro to XP pro.

I know that XP has a Roxio plug in for burning CD's, has anybody had problems with this if Nero is then installed. I ask because Nero is my preferred choice for burning.

TIA

It might have been my setup, but win XP and Nero one of my systems did not go well.

800 Mhz T-Bird
384 Meg of PC 133
30 GB hard drive, 7200 RPM IBM
with win XP it would run but Nero was slow to open, much slower then it should have been in my opinion Options took extra time to change screens.

I just changed the system to win 2k and the change was very noticable. Nero opens like it should.

It could have been my setup with win XP, I didn't have it tweaked down, but I don't have the 2k tweaked yet either.

Why not use both? Nero runs on both win2000 and winXP pro on my machine with no conflicts or problems with drivers.

No problems with Nero. The Windows XP built-in engine can be disabled.

Nero and XPPro, however i dislike how there is no MP3 encoder with NERO. (one that lasts that is...)
