Defrag
Windows 98 SE With all updates.
ABIT BH6 Motherboard with latest bios Pentium II 450 mhz 256 Megabytes ram 6 gig C: HD 30 gig d: HD Teac CDRW DVD Drive Geforce 4 MX440 64 meg (AGP) Soundblaster 4.1 digital sound card (PCI) 4 USB ports (PCI) Pinnacle pctv tuner card (PCI) Modem (PCI) Network Card (PCI) Hi all! Whenever I run defrag it takes forever because "drives contents changed" yet I`ve nothing running in the backround just the basic stuff windows 98se normally has. Any ideas? Thanks for all your help. Chris.

Restart in Safe Mode and run defrag.

hey dude, got that same problem b4 until i discovered the program "Diskeeper 7.0". it works and it proves to be a lot of help when i used it. and better, it only runs for 10-15 minutes (after the first time you used it).
