Defrag

Windows 98 SE With all updates.
ABIT BH6 Motherboard with latest bios
Pentium II 450 mhz
256 Megabytes ram
6 gig C: HD
30 gig d: HD
Teac CDRW
DVD Drive
Geforce 4 MX440 64 meg (AGP)
Soundblaster 4.1 digital sound card (PCI)
4 USB ports (PCI)
Pinnacle pctv tuner card (PCI)
Modem (PCI)
Network Card (PCI)

Hi all!

Whenever I run defrag it takes forever because "drives contents changed" yet I`ve nothing running in the backround just the basic stuff windows 98se normally has. Any ideas?

Restart in Safe Mode and run defrag.

hey dude, got that same problem b4 until i discovered the program "Diskeeper 7.0". it works and it proves to be a lot of help when i used it. and better, it only runs for 10-15 minutes (after the first time you used it).
