Cool putting XP into Hibernation

I was wondering My laptop boots real slow but works like a champ when it gets going

Lately I just put the laptop into hibernation and when I turn it on BANG it's there and ready to go

Is it ok to always do this or should I sometimes totaly shut it down to give it a fresh restart then I turn it back on ????????

Generally, XP is good about memory management and doesn't need to be restarted often, as was the case with Windows 9X. I have kept my Windows XP box on for a week or more will no ill effects.

windows XP has good memory management(especially since SP1), but after about two weeks with no restart (I kept my PC in Suspend To RAM) it was lagging very very much . probably the same will happen here. and if you have a big quantity of RAM the hiberfil.sys file will have a very big size.
