Starting WindowsXP question

What button do you press during WindowsXP startup that pauses Windows so you can alter settings?

I recently changed a monitor and because the refresh rate was different no picture appeared. I know there is a button to press so you can alter to basic VGA (and change refresh/resolution settings from there) but I can't remember what!

You can hit F8 and boot to Windows in safe mode to make the changes you need.
