CRASH Stack overflow?

Recently when turning my computer on I get a Blue screen saying:

Windows

Terminating thread due to a stack overflow problem. AVxD , possibly recently installed, has consumed too much stack space. Increase the setting of MinSP's in System.INI or remove recently installed VxD's . There are currently 6 SP's allocated.

I have Win 98se. Can anyone give me a clue as to what this is and how to fix it. Thank you.

Hi plumerjr,

Often, Win 98 fixes that problem itself on a reboot. If you'd like to adjust it manually, you'll find out how here:

Thank you. I tried the solution they gave and I restarted and it didn't appear again.

It appeared again. I'm try to increase the setting again. Up from the initial setting of 4 to 8 like Microsoft page recommends hopefully that will do the trick.
