Question Remote Desktop and Switching off at a specific time

I want to initiate remote desktop with my PC from somewhere else.

1. how do i intiate the remote desktop with the host/server PC without having to answer the option where it ask you if "do you want to let somebody else take control of your pc?". i obviously cant do this because im away from my comp.
(I had my friend try to connect to my computer but i have to answer an option.i was logged on so i dont know if this affects wheter the option comes on or not)

1A. if being logged on does make the "do you want to let somebody else take control of your pc?" option come on how do i connect to the internet when im on the XP log on screen(where i choose my accounts) and start a program to determine my IP(my IP is dynamic and i have to know it to connect)

2. how do i automatically switch off my PC at a specific time?

thanks in advance.

*edit* i already figured out how to shut off my computer at a specific time. is called Slawdog Smart Shutdown
